For over One Hundred Years my family has been active in agriculture and business in diverse settings, throughout New Mexico, Grant County and Silver City. My Great Grandfather, Jefferson Glenn, owned and operated many downtown Silver City businesses. His last business was located in what is now the Jalisco Cafe building on South Bullard Street.

My Grandfather, James Vernon Glenn, owned and operated Silver City lumber yards and raised livestock. Vera Porter Glenn, my Grandmother, was a founding member of the Silver City Woman's Club. Together, JV and Vera Glenn, were also founding members of the Methodist Church in Silver City. Originally meeting in member homes, the Mr. and Mrs. J V Glenn, Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson C Glenn with other Methodist Church congregants, planned and built the United Methodist Church on the corner of College Avenue and North Santa Rita Street. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn built their home on "Mockingbird Hill" beside the iconic windmill where my father was raised. This beautiful home is still located on US Hwy 180 W on the way to Cliff, NM. My parents, Jeff and Lora Nell Glenn were in the lumber, construction and agriculture business. They worked, and were involved on many levels, in New Mexico Agriculture. I have lived and worked in remote, rural and city locations.

I attended New Mexico State University (NMSU) for my undergraduate education, and Western New Mexico University (WNMU) for my graduate degree. My parents are alumni of Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) and my children are NMSU graduates. We are now sending our family's 4th generation students to New Mexico Institutions.

Over 20 years ago, I made a major career change: From my job as a New Mexico educator, to that of becoming an insurance broker. I purchased my business from George Jackson, where I gained essential and exceptional experience in the insurance and finance world. The change came from my understanding of the importance of planning ahead for a secure, thus happier, future. Security is the one factor that can turn an emergency (of any kind) into a situation that is much more easily dealt with - rather than being left with nothing and with no options to pick-up life and continue forward. Loss is heartbreaking! We never know when lives, money and/or security may be impacted negatively through the lack of proper insurance coverage.
